03/15/2024 - Severe storm threats across Texas to tornado damage overnight from Arkansas to Ohio. We are actively watching the news and gathering information from partners.  This Active Page will update with the latest information we find based on the impact and response of partners. Keep your eye on the weather, stay safe and pray for the safety of these communities.

Mercy Chefs is deploying to Winchester, IN, and Indian Lake, OH, in response to these deadly tornadoes. We are committed to bringing hope and comfort to grieving families and communities by providing hot, chef-prepared meals. Please stand with us in prayer and support for the victims of these horrific tornadoes.

Convoy of Hope - Distributions are underway in Winchester, Indiana, and Bellefontaine, Ohio, today, distributing essential supplies to families in need.Thursday night, an EF-3 tornado ripped through Winchester and caused widespread destruction. That same night, another EF-3 tornado destroyed parts of towns in Logan County, Ohio. As of this morning, thousands of people are still without power.Convoy’s teams are on the ground, distributing relief supplies, such as water, sports drinks, cleanup supplies, totes, tarps, and more. Samaritan's Purse is responding in Logan County, Ohio, and in the Selma/Winchester area of Indiana, where hundreds of homes were destroyed after a severe weather outbreak spawned deadly EF-3 tornadoes across the region. Two U.S. Disaster Relief units–tractor trailers packed with relief supplies and equipment–are en route to the region. We will deploy volunteer teams in the coming days to help homeowners remove fallen trees and debris and tarp damaged roofs as we serve these hurting communities in Jesus’ Name. UPDATE 3/16/24: God’s Pit Crew’s Immediate Disaster Response team will deploy Tuesday, March 19, from headquarters in Danville, Virginia, and travel to Lewistown, Ohio, and surrounding areas to help victims of the catastrophic storms that left multiple fatalities and dozens injured.  Once on location, the highly trained volunteers and staff will begin working in the hardest-hit areas.
