Affected area(s):
Sudden torrential rainfall of 2 ½ to 4 inches over just 30–40 minutes triggered flash floods across Wheeling (Ohio County) and parts of Marion County (Fairmont area) during the evening of June 14–15, 2025
Fatalities: Between 6 and 7 confirmed dead, including a 3-year-old; 2 people still missing as of June 16–17
~60 homes and ~25 businesses flooded or damaged
State of Emergency: Declared by Gov. Morrisey in both Ohio and Marion counties; National Guard deployed
Impacted Infrastructure: ~30–40 flooded or damaged roads and bridges

Triadelphia & Valley Grove: Some of the hardest hit—several of the victims lived in Triadelphia; widespread devastation
Marion County (Fairmont, Pleasant Valley): Infrastructure and apartment building damage; 165 emergency calls logged
