Event Summary

"The Alexander Mountain Fire in Larimer County grew slowly overnight to around 990 acres on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The fire forced evacuations throughout the Big Thompson Valley on Monday." (CBS Colorado)


Message from partner Serve 6.8

"I wanted to make sure you knew how we are responding to support our community impacted by the Alexander Mountain Fire. The fire exploded in the Foothills area of Loveland on Monday of this week and has resulted in thousands of homeowners being evacuated. The fire is still actively growing, and it is unclear how long families will be displaced." Mike Walker - Director Serve 6.8 

Here is what SERVE 6.8 and our Church Partners are doing to help:

  • Foundations Church in Loveland has been established as an overnight shelter.

  • SERVE 6.8 will be conducting a community wide relief supply drive. You can find a list of items needed at the bottom of this email.

  • We will be looking for opportunities to support our First Responders.

  • And we will be working with Emergency Management to assess the needs of families and will be prepared to provide needed supplies and financial support.

Here is how you can help:

  1. We need the following relief supplies:

  • Unopened Snack Foods -Granola Bars, Applesauce, Fruit Snacks, Protein Bars, (easy open) Canned Tuna/ Chicken, Crackers, Gatorade, etc

  • NEW Hygiene Items- Shampoo/ Conditioner, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Body Wash/Bar Soap, Combs/ Brushes

  • Gently Used Clothing- Men’s, Women’s and Children’s clothing and pajamas of all sizes
